How the categories work
Two families
- Business & organisation categories for companies, properties, products and services — grouped by industry and sector.
- Leadership categories for individuals — CEO, GM, Entrepreneur, Women and CXO of the Year, by programme and industry.
One activity, one category
- A category names a precise activity — “Best Boutique Hotel”, “Best Fintech Company”, “CEO of the Year – Healthcare” — so nominees are compared only with their peers.
Competition levels
- Every category is contested at City, Country, Regional or World level; the nomination plan sets the highest level a nominee can enter, and selection within a level is always on merit.
Chosen after the form
- The nomination form asks for no category. You pick it in your Award Portal, where the strongest matches for your business are highlighted — or our team suggests one.

Frequently asked questions
How many award categories are there?
2,561 active categories across hospitality, business and leadership awards, organised by industry and sector. New categories are added when a nominee fits none of the existing ones.
Do I choose the category when I nominate?
No. The nomination form takes two minutes and asks for no category; you choose the category afterwards in your Award Portal, where the strongest matches for your business are highlighted.
What if no category fits my business?
Nominate anyway and choose the closest category. Our team matches a nomination that fits no existing category to a new, more precise one.
Is nomination free?
Yes — there is no nomination fee and no registration fee. The Free plan covers one award programme and one category at City level; a Winner Package order is mandatory only if you are selected as a winner.
