The International Travel Awards are the Golden Tree Awards programme for the travel and tourism industry. They recognise hotels, resorts, travel agencies, tour operators, destination management companies, airlines, cruise and yacht operators, tourism boards and travel technology companies for the quality of their service, guest experience, innovation and sustainability.
Since 2018 the programme has recognised more than 2,000 winners from over 150 countries, from independent guest houses and boutique hotels to tour operators, online travel agencies and destination management companies. A boutique property is compared with boutique properties and a tour operator with tour operators, so a single-property business and a multi-country group are each reviewed against their peers.
Anyone can nominate — the company itself, its team or a third party — and nominating is free. Each nomination is reviewed on the evidence submitted, and winners are selected by the Jury team or the Management of Golden Tree. Yes. The Free plan covers one award programme in one category at City level, with a mandatory Winner Package order if you are selected as a winner; optional paid plans start with Silver at USD 170.
Each nomination is reviewed on the evidence submitted — guest experience, service quality, innovation, sustainability and business results. Winners are selected by the Jury team or the Management of Golden Tree. Sponsorship and gala tickets have no influence on the result.
Hotel categories include luxury, boutique, 5-star, 4-star, business, family, city and design hotels, beach and wellness resorts, guest houses and serviced apartments. Travel company categories include travel agency, online travel agency, corporate travel, tour operator, inbound, adventure and safari tour operator, destination management company, sustainable tourism and airport transfer company.
Yes. Categories are structured so that businesses are compared with their peers: a boutique hotel with boutique hotels and a tour operator with tour operators, not with large international groups.
Yes. Self-nominations are welcome, and a company can also be nominated by its team, a partner or any third party through the nomination form.

No. Winners are invited to the gala in Dubai, and winners who cannot attend receive their recognition by international courier.
